I was honored to be chosen by good friends Laura and Brett to be their son Max's Godmother.
Of course I offered to make the cake! It was a simple vanilla cake with buttercream icing decorated with royal icing flowers and a keepsake pewter cross. I forgot how much I love working with Royal Icing....hadn't had a chance to make any flowers in over two years until this cake.
Lesson's learned from this cake:
When working with box cake mixes, stick to Duncan Hines...don't settle for any else!
